Spokane's "New Moon Art Gallery" offers an array of fun & playful creative art classes at our East Sprague gallery that will nourish your heart, mind, and soul, including mixed media & painting, plus a variety of jewelry design classes which encompass many of the aspects of jewelry making, and many more art workshops in a variety of mediums. All our classes are taught by accomplished artists and artisans, many of whom are tops in their field.

Whether you are just beginning to tap your "inner artist", or are looking to sharpen already existing skills, you'll thoroughly enjoy your Moon Gallery experience. Having Fun with Runny Paint

*PUT TOGETHER A GROUP OF 4-6 FRIENDS*

Experience the spontaneity of pour painting where you will learn to create unexpected abstract designs on wrapped canvas! Just bring an apron ~ we'll provide the rest. For just $35, you'll leave with a finished work of art, on a 9x12 canvas. For an extra $5 you can bring your own large canvas up to 16 x 20!

Runny Paint Classes ~ Call if you want to put together a "group pour". Recent classes have been created that way. We find it's even more fun when a group of folks who know each other do this class together. Contact Chuck Harmon at 509-325-0471.

CREATE AN ACCORDION STYLE BOOK
March 11th
1:00 - 5:00 pm.

In this class you will create a multi-sided accordion style book. First you will learn to accurately fold the heavy paper that will become the inside of a lovely book. The fun begins when you design covers for both ends using repurposed materials. But wait- there is more!

Colorful watercolor washes will be applied to splash and spread joyful hues across the pages. You will want to bring your own embellishments, such as buttons, ribbons, floss and beads to design a fabulous closure. You will leave this class with a completed book to display with your drawings, collage or just to enjoy for color and form. You may design the size of your accordion book according to individual preference. Participants will also be given a detailed handout and resource list for all materials used.

The accordion book comes to us from Asia. It was invented to accommodate scrolls that had become unmanageable because of their size and length. The accordion book is composed of a continuous folded sheet of paper and is often enclosed between two covers.
