Oana grew up experimenting with various art techniques and remember spending summers at the local art school, and school days taking all the art classes she could. Though graduating with a degree in architecture, her favorite projects involved my collage work and utilized her art skills. As Oana says, it's hard to get away from your past!
While working in the architecture industry in San Francisco after school, Oana found herself going back to her old artist ways in her free time. She became a commercial artist around that time, starting with her black and white "City Series" collection. Oana has since added more color, elements and subjects, which has evolving to her current illustrative, mixed media style.
Inspiration comes from architecture, nature, textiles and typography. When not creating art, Oana works with her other passions: textiles via role as interior design consultant and graphics as a freelance designer. Oana's goal is to create beauty and bring joy to recipients.
