PAINTING | Spokane, WA
I love to paint on almost anything. In grade school my grandmother got me started with a set of 'Paint by Numbers' in oils. I still love the smell of the oils; it reminds me of her. Sometimes I get the bug to watercolor, paint on silk, paint on glass, paint on walls, and sculpt with clay or anything else that inspires me. "Mind is Perpetual Motion" is a series that I have worked on for several years. It started with a dream I had of a spiral galaxy. The dream was very vivid and teaming with life. In this dream I could see and hear the spiral galaxy moving and as I looked at different stars they would burst into different shapes such as horses, frogs, angels, and turtles. I painted this galaxy with oil on a 4? x 8? canvas and named it 'Spiral Galaxy'. I think it is significant in my quest while continuing to paint this dream to include some form of the universe and galaxies in my paintings along with the continual movement, expansion and growth of the mind of God and man. Hope you enjoy.
