Larry Keyser - Wood and Stone Artist

"The raw material for my jewelry and sculpture-wood and elk antler, mostly-dictates the finished work. Every piece is unique and spontaneous, determined by the grain and hardness of the wood, or the shape and character of the antler. I spend a majority of my time sanding and polishing to achieve a rich tactile quality of smoothness and shine, frequently adding a small dash of color with gemstones or abalone. Most of my sculpture incorporates a catenary curve which enhances the beauty of the wood and lends a grace to the finished piece.
